Mali is located in West Africa, bordered by Algeria to the north, Niger to the east, Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast to the south, and Guinea and Senegal to the west. It has a subtropical climate with hot summers and mild winters. Mali is known for its vast desert regions as well as its diverse cultures. The country is poised for expansion with many small nations around it however it may face challenges with its neighbors such as Algeria, Niger, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Guinea and Senegal.
